How to get your second COVID-19 Vaccine Dose

NOTICE: Those who received a first dose at a county vaccine clinic may schedule a 2nd dose appointment at any of our County Operated or Curative Clinics by visiting our Vaccine Clinic Page here: https://www.rivcoph.org/COVID-19-Vaccine-with-Registration

 

Current CDC guidelines recommends that second doses be given between 21-42 days for Pfizer and 28-42 days for Moderna vaccines. Receiving a second dose too early may reduce the effectiveness of the vaccine.

For those who received a first dose at one of the community providers, vaccine supplies are very limited, and it may not be possible to schedule your second dose in a timely manner. We encourage you to check with your primary care physician or other community providers who may have appointments available.
