• The Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines can only be given to individuals age 18 years and older.

• The Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines can only be given to individuals age 18 years and older.
• Vaccination of individuals younger than 12 will start as soon as the COVID-19 vaccines are approved for them.

A Pfizer booster dose is recommended if you:

• Received your second dose at least 6 months ago, and
• Are age 18 or older

A Moderna booster dose is recommended if you:

• Received your second dose at least 6 months ago, and
• Are age 18 or older

A Johnson & Johnson booster dose is recommended if you:

• Received your first dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at least 2 months ago, and
• Are age 18 or older

The CDC recommends a third vaccine dose for certain groups of people with weakened immune systems who received either the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. Some examples include:

• Receiving active cancer treatment for tumors or cancers of the blood
• Received an organ transplant and are taking medicine to suppress the immune system
• Received a stem cell transplant within the last 2 years or are taking medicine to suppress the immune system
• Moderate or severe primary immunodeficiency
• Advanced or untreated HIV infection
• Active treatment with high-dose corticosteroids or other drugs that may suppress your immune response
